As the snow piles up, firefighters want to remind you to keep fire hydrants clear.
Clay Fire Territory officials say residents should make sure snow is cleared at least three feet around hydrants near their property.
People should also keep front and rear entrances to their homes clear in case of an emergency. And don't forget to help out those who can't help themsleves.
"If you have somebody in your neighborhood that, because of their age or their illness or their mobility issues aren't able to keep their doorways clear, give them a hand," said Clay Fire Marshal Dave Cherrone.
Businesses also need to keep all hydrants clear and clear exits of snow and ice so people can evacuate in case of an emergency.
