SOUTH BEND – Fire crews quickly extinguished a blaze Sunday morning in the 52000 block of Ida Street in South Bend.

According to dispatch, crews arrived to the single-story home around just before 10:20 a.m. with light smoke showing from the exterior.

The fire was located in the bedroom of the home. Fire crews were able to get the fire under control just before 10:40 a.m.

All occupants of the home evacuated and there were no injuries reported.

The cause of the fire was is still under investigation but it is believed to have been caused by an overloaded electrical outlet.
